True Thanksgiving from the perspective of a special needs Mom

Thanksgiving. Special needs parenting. Gratitude. Motherhood. Parenting a medically fragile child. perspective.

We have a tendency as human beings to equate Thanksgiving with a good life. Gratitude becomes situational, rather than intentional.

But, as the momma to a medically fragile child, perspective is everything. Over the last years I have learned and continue to learn what is really important. And although I often get really raw and vulnerable regarding the hard stuff of this journey, I would missing a big part of the picture if I didn't include the good stuff as well.

This journey has changed my outlook for the better.

I'm now not just thankful for the perfect days, but I'm thankful for EVERY day.
