Anxiety.

It's defined as a feeling of worry, nervousness, or unease, typically about an imminent event or something with an uncertain outcome.

For some, anxiety is simply that. A worry. A concern. And one that is legitimate based upon an upcoming event or circumstance.

For others, anxiety can become much more than that. Medically speaking, anxiety can become a disorder, one that can lead to panic, chest pain, or an overwhelming sense of unrealistic fear, among many other negative symptoms.

Anxiety in any form, rather mild or extreme, is simply no good.

I personally have shared about my journey with anxiety in regards to my daughters medical journey. I have experienced both what I would call "normal" anxiety, the kind where you worry about your kids, or you wander how you'll pay that bill, or you feel uneasy about an upcoming deadline at work; and then, I have experience the anxiety that seems to wash over you- the kind that feels out of control.

What I've recognized in both of these situations is that I do have some control. Or, perhaps God has some control, and He has given me the ability to redirect my mind toward Him when anxiety threatens to overtake me.

If you or someone you love has experience the pain of anxiety, here is a great list of Scripture to meditate on:
